BTS’s RM Mattel Doll Features RM’s Iconic Dimple
If you thought BTS couldn’t get anymore iconic, you’d be wrong, because they’re soon to be immortalized by the toy company that created the extremely iconic Barbie doll. That’s right: One of the biggest music acts in the world right now, BTS, is teaming with Mattel to be turned into dolls that you can own. Even better, the first look at the BTS x Mattel doll collaboration is here, and let’s just say it involves RM.
Mattel gave their first sneak peek at the BTS dolls earlier this week, beginning with a tweet on Tuesday, March 19 that featured a close-up shot of the doll version of RM and his iconic dimple in his left cheek. “You can call him an artist, you can call him an idol…” Mattel captioned the shot, adding in a purple heart emoji to get fans really feeling all of the feels.
Just a day before, Mattel posted a group shot of all of the BTS dolls appearing to stand on stage. The lighting in the photo was dimmed to preserve secrecy around the look of the BTS dolls, but we don’t need a well-lit photo to confirm these BTS dolls will likely have the ARMY in a state of major anticipation. The most recent teaser photo was posted on Wednesday, March 20 and it’s all about Jin, who fans identified because the doll version of Jin is wearing a copy of a floral jacket he’s worn in the past. Mattel hyped up the Jin doll, captioning the sneak peek with, “Is there such a thing as handsome overload?”
Elite Daily reports that the BTS x Mattel doll collection will be available in the summer, after BTS is set to release their new album, Map of the Soul: Persona. Each doll will cost $20, and if you ask us, that is well worth it considering you could bring home a miniature version of RM, Jin, or any other BTS band member you love.
