Best moments of this winter
Hello and happy spring! It feels like winter is never going to end — even though most of our snowbanks are pretty much gone and there are just a few icy spots here and there. The craziest part is to think that it was in the high 40s in early January! It feels like it’s been cold for ages.
(Oh, one thing you should know about people who live in Minnesota, we LOVE to talk about the weather.)
Anywho! Changing seasons mean it’s time to look back on the past few months and celebrate the best moments. So, today I’m excited to bring you my best and favorite moments of this winter. You don’t want to miss the last one, I promise. 🙂
We kicked off winter with some awesome ice fishing… I caught my first tulibee (my fish not pictured, but from that day!)!
And then we headed down to Iowa to play with some heavy machinery…
I convinced Brandon to run with me when we were home for Christmas in WI!
And we spent Christmas Day fishing and catching #allthefish
We went to Colorado for a ski trip
…and of course did some ice fishing!
My sister came to visit! We went to see Eric Church (SO GOOD)
I went on a work trip and got to hang out with Melissa!
I went back to Wisconsin to celebrate my nephew’s 16th BIRTHDAY. How did that happen?!
Spent a lot of days/nights in the portable…
…and Archer showed us his moves
I enjoyed a LOT of snowy runs (and only fell a handful of times)…
We celebrated Archer’s sixth birthday with a cross-country ski adventure!
He partied hard at St. Patrick’s Day
Anddddd… WE GOT ENGAGED!!!
There were some sad moments (saying goodbye to my favorite buddy Apollo), but we had so many great moments and memories made. I know that Apollo is still here in my heart and that makes it feel not so sad, if that makes sense.
Can’t wait to see what spring brings. 🙂
What were your favorite moments of winter? What are you looking forward to this spring?
